WEINER CAMPAIGN UNVEILS NEW TELEVISION SPOT
TO AIR DURING PRIMARY’S FINAL DAYS
__________________________4TH TELEVISION COMMERCIAL OF THE CAMPAIGN
___________________________CUTTING MIDDLE CLASS TAXES AND BUDGET WASTE,
RAISING TEACHER PAY AND RESTORING DISCIPLINE TO OUR SCHOOLS
New York City – Marking the final push towards primary day, today Rep. Anthony Weiner’s (D-Queens & Brooklyn) campaign unveiled its fourth campaign television commercial. The spot will being airing this week.
Sitting on the front stoop of his childhood home, Weiner talks directly to the camera about the central themes of his candidacy: a middle class tax cut, cutting budget waste, raising teacher pay and restoring discipline to our schools.
Like the previous three ads aired by the Weiner campaign, “Stoop” was produced by media consultant Jim Margolis of GMMB, an issues communications firm in Washington D.C.
“These are the issues that middle class New Yorkers care about, and they are the central themes of my campaign,” said Rep. Weiner. “Real problems, like the too high tax burden on middle class families and those aspiring to get there and the flight of the best teachers out of New York City schools deserve real solutions. As Mayor, I’ll cut taxes on anyone making $150,000 or less a year, raise teacher pay, and restore discipline to our classrooms and school hallways.”
Weiner’s first television ad of the campaign, “Homeplate” began airing on August 19.
His second and third ads, “Diner” and “PS 39” began airing on August 30.
