WEINER KICKS OFF CITYWIDE SCHOOL BUS TOUR
ALL THIS WEEK:
BARNSTORMS THE FIVE BOROUGHS TO TALK ABOUT
REAL SOLUTIONS FOR HARDWORKING NEW YORKERS
CUTTING TAXES ON THE MIDDLE CLASS, BETTER SCHOOLS FOR OUR KIDS, MAKING IT EASIER FOR SMALL BUSINESES TO THRIVE,
AFFORDABLE HOUSING AND QUALITY HEALTH CARE
New York City – Tomorrow, Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-Queens & Brooklyn) will board a school bus in Brooklyn to kick off a five borough barnstorming tour.
Over the next several days he’ll ride the “Real Solutions Express” to every corner of the City, carrying his message of lower taxes, better schools, and real solutions for hard working New Yorkers.
Cut Taxes for the Middle Class and Help Small Businesses -- On Tuesday, Weiner will visit shopkeepers in Park Slope, Forest Hills, and Riverdale, walking neighborhood shopping strips and talking about his 10% tax cut for anyone making less than $150,000 a year, and his plan to make it a little easier on small business owners to thrive in New York City.
Great Teachers and Back to Basics in Our Classrooms -- Later in the week, Weiner will visit schools to talk about his plan to raise teacher pay, get back to basics in the classroom, and restore discipline to our hallways.
Save our Catholic Schools and Secure our Yeshivas -- He’ll talk to parents of Catholic school students about saving their schools, and he’ll visit a Yeshiva to talk about securing our most important so-called “soft” terror targets.
Middle Class Housing and Better Health Care -- Weiner will tour a housing complex to talk with residents about his plan to build middle class housing in the City, and keep rental costs low. And he’ll talk about his ideas for expanding access to quality, affordable health care at an area hospital.
“My campaign is about real solutions for real people,” said Rep. Weiner. “Some may say we can’t cut taxes and fund real priorities like better schools and housing the middle class can afford, and pay for it by cutting waste. But as Mayor, that’s what I’ll do. I’ll be a fighter for hard working New York everyday.”
