Today, the Retail, Wholesale, and Department Store Union (RWDSU) announced its support for Anthony Weiner in the race for New York City Mayor. The RWDSU represents 45,000 members in New York City.

In making the announcement, RWDSU President Stuart Appelbaum cited Weiner’s leadership in keeping Wal-Mart out of New York City, his advocacy on behalf of Duane Reade workers fighting for better benefits and wages, and his record on labor issues in Congress and the City Council.
